I left the KIT in 2008 and I am no longer involved in the route planning project. For nostalgic reasons, I have decided to freeze this page in its current state.
My current affiliation is the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.

Main Interests

Generally speaking, I am interested in applicable Theoretical Computer Science, i.e., Theoretical Computer Science whose application in practice is at least visible in the distance. I have specialised in the field of Algorithms, Data Structures and Complexity. Particularly, I like Graph Algorithms.
Currently, I am a research assistant at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, in the "Algorithmics II" group of Prof. Sanders.

My PhD Project: Route Planning in Road Networks

In my PhD project, I deal with fast and accurate route planning. Click here to find related publications, a demo, and slides of related talks.

Other Publications, Projects, Essays etc.

Here is a list of my other publications (which are not related to route planning) and some projects, essays and other things I did during my studies.
